Abdul Hodge was a center piece for the Iowa Hawkeye defense from 2003-2005. He brings his leadership and work ethic among many other attributes of a champion caliber athlete to the “The Extra Heartbeat” Football Academy. Abdul was an All-American and All-Big Ten football player for the Hawkeyes. His senior year he led the Big Ten and ranked third nationally in tackles per game (13.2). He never missed a practice or game while at the University of Iowa. In 2005 he won Co-MVP and Hayden Fry “Extra Heartbeat” Award. Abdul left the University as one of the all-time great linebackers that has ever played for Iowa. He ranks 3rd in career tackles amongst all Iowa players. After college Abdul was drafted in the 3rd round of the NFL draft to the Green Bay Packers. Abdul is excited to help and share his knowledge of the game to the student athletes at the Academy this summer.
