The Extra Heartbeat Football Academy is excited to have Brad Banks as one of its coaches this summer. Brad Attended Junior college right after high school where he led his team to a 11-1 record as a sophomore. After two years at community college, Brad transferred to the University of Iowa. In 2002 Brad had one of the best seasons ever as a Hawkeye quarterback. He Placed second in the Heisman Trophy voting and was the winner of the Davey O’Brien Award as nation’s best quarterback. As a AP and Walter Camp first team All-American and Big Ten Conference Player of the Year Brad led the Hawkeyes to an 11-2 record and an Orange Bowl appearance. Brad instills everything that "The Extra Heartbeat" Football Academy wants to portray and teach young student athletes. He was awarded the Hayden Fry "Extra Heartbeat" trophy and named a permanent team captain for The Hawkeyes in 2002. After college he went on and signed with the Washington Redskins and then played a few seasons in the CFL.
