Tyler Blum was a member of the University of Iowa football team from 2005-2009. At Iowa, Tyler spent time at several positions including defensive/offensive line and tight end. Tyler was a 3 year letter winner and awarded a 2009 Team Leader Award voted by the coaching staff. Blum is from Walnut, Iowa where he played 8-man football for the Warriors, garnering several post-season prep honors. He was also a standout wrestler and baseball player; he later played 2 seasons of professional independent baseball after college. In 2005, Blum was 1 of 78 high school seniors chosen to play in the 2005 U.S. Army High School All-American Game. Tyler is currently the Director of the Red Zone Football Academy in Coralville, and he serves as the State Director for FBU Team IOWA. Blum has been running youth football programs and instruction for 3 years and was the head coach of Team IOWA's 7th Grade team that finished 13th in the nation last season.
